YDA to call off strike after PIMS admin takes new security measures

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) administration made renewed security arrangements prompting the Young Doctors Association (YDA) to off its plan to stage a demonstration.

Earlier on June 19, a female doctor of the institute was robbed and another assaulted following which on June 21, PIMS security committee decided to take several security measures including the installation of buzzers, more locks, rounds by senior doctors, removal of persons who were staying at the institute’s hostels illegally and issuance of visitors cards.
