‘Teefa in Trouble’ drops its ‘Item Number’

LAHORE: The makers of upcoming Pakistani film Teefa in Trouble have dropped their much anticipated first music release, Item Number with a star-studded music launch, which saw the likes of Fawad Khan and Ayesha Sana in attendance.

The quirky and upbeat song features Maya Ali and Ali Zafar who share a sizzling onscreen chemistry. The song has been written and sung by Ali Zafar along with Aima Baig, who lends her vocals for the song. The music has been composed by Naqash Haider while the video has been choreographed by Feroz Khan, the man behind some of Bollywood’s top music hits including Maa Da Laadla from Dostana. Nabila of Nabila’s Salon crafted the entire style look.

Speaking about the song, choreographer Feroz Khan said, “I have seen Ali grow over the years as one of the most hard working and humble superstars of this region. You seldom get to work with someone so dedicated and sincere. When he called me to choreograph this song I wanted to be a part of it at any cost not just because I love him as a brother but because I fell in love with the song hearing it the first time. I have choreographed many dance numbers in Bollywood but this song and idea we wanted to approach differently.”

Directed by Ahsan Rahim, Teefa in Trouble marks Zafar’s debut in the Pakistani cinema. The film also starres Maya Ali, Javed Sheikh, Asma Abbas, Mehmood Aslam, Mahenur Haider and Faisal Qureshi. It is scheduled for release on 20th of July 2018.

Moreso, Zafar’s production house, Lightingale Productions has partnered with one of the world’s biggest film studios, Yash Raj Films to distribute the film worldwide.
