LARKANA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh Chief Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Saturday said that Sardar Ali Gohar Khan Mahar’s act of levelling allegations against PPP indicated that he has become confused.

“We will defeat Mahar in upcoming general elections like the previous by-election. When Mahar was with the party, the PPP was good but it has now become bad for him when he fears defeat again in 25 July elections,” he said in a statement issued.

Khuhro said that political mosquitoes needed to be fumigated in Sindh and soon all of them would go in hiding. He claimed that those who had left the party would not be able to survive politically.

He said that Karachi mayor was demanding a probe into Larkana development funds but he should also tell where was Rs10 billion spent which that released for development of Karachi.

The PPP leader said that Karachi mayor wants dictatorship powers but there would be no dictatorship anymore in the country, hence he would not be able to have such powers. He said Wasim Akhtar is demanding such powers to hide his incompetence and negligence.

Meanwhile, PPP activists held a protest demonstration at Chandka Bridge, where CJP was expected to pass, for declaring what they called murder of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto as judicial murder and inclusion of Pervez Musharraf’s name in the investigation into assassination of Benazir Bhutto. The protest was led by party’s Larkana president Abdul Fatah Bhutto, Noordin Abro and Shakeel Memon.
