PESHAWAR: Unidentified persons fired at a police officer on Thursday in the city’s Hayatabad area, killing him on the spot.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 pm on a police sentry post in Street No 13 C4 in NAB Colony when Frontier Reserve Police Constable Shah Fahad was shot dead by the gunmen.
The officer’s rifle was also stolen by the attackers.
A search operation was initiated by police forces who reached the location soon afterward.
