LONDON: London Institute of South Asia (LISA) organised a discussion on book ‘Betrayal of India’, written by Elisa Davidson in The House of Lords.
Lord Nazir chaired the event while Lord Qurban and MP Faisal Rasheed were among prominent along with the author. The event was attended by around 100 people majority from Pak diaspora. Barrister Iftikhar presented the loops in the case of Mumbai attacks and declared it as drama/operation of Indian government which benefited India and USA while Pakistan became the victim of its aftermaths. LISA is headed by Ismat Saeed.
The author chronologically proved the incident with reference of his research-based evidences that the incident was orchestrated by India and it got benefit from it on global level. Lord Nazir highlighted the negligence of Pakistani political elite and Maj-Gen Durrani, then Pakistani NSA, in handling the issue rather they benefited the Indian narrative and accepted responsibility in haste.
It may be noted that the event could not get much attention among non-Pakistani British diaspora & politicians as no significant British MP or individual from academia, media or think tank community turned up.
