ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday stopped Capital Development Authority (CDA) from sealing office building of Bol TV network and referred the matter to another bench.

Justice Athar Minallah of IHC resumed hearing of the case against CDA’s move regarding sealing Bol Tv’s building.

During the case of proceeding, Justice Athar Minallah observed that Justice Siddiqui has announced the judgment regarding the business activities in residential areas and decided to refer the case to the same bench.

Earlier, counsel for the TV channel, Rizwan Abbasi Advocate contended that CDA was taking action against the above building without prior notice. His client was not respondent in a case heard be IHC regarding non-conforming use of residential areas, he further added.

He requested the bench to grant appropriate time to shift office from this area to any other place. The CDA official was pursuing the matter continuously for last two days.

Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the Bol TV’s stance was right and it should be given the time if they wanted to shift their office.

However, the court recommended shifting the case to the bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui for further proceeding while stopping CDA from sealing the Bol TV building.
