ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 52% Pakistanis claim that they would support the orange train service if it was launched in their city.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Suppose that the orange train service is launched in your city, will you support or oppose it?”
In response to this question, 52% said they would support the orange train service if it was launched in their city and 27% said they would oppose it. 21% did not know or did not wish to respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1680 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, May 21 – May 28, 2018. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
