Imran Khan is an ‘amateur politician’, says Ahsan Iqbal

LAHORE: Former interior minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was an amateur politician.

Speaking to media outside the Lahore High Court (LHC), the former minister said, “Imran has proven that he is a novice politician, he has not even contested for local bodies’ elections and he has no experience.”

“Imran Khan couldn’t even make a decision pertaining to caretaker chief ministers,” Iqbal added.

Iqbal also said that Imran’s policies had no stability.

“We cannot hand over the future of 222 million people in the hands of an inexperienced politician,” the PML-N stalwart further added.

The former minister remarked, “I respect the judiciary, I have nothing against them and I am not competing against the judiciary but extremist thoughts.”
