ISLAMABAD: Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Ashtar Ausaf Ali on Wednesday resigned from his office.
According to media reports, Ausaf forwarded his resignation to the president. He was appointed AGP on March 29, 2016.
The resignation by the attorney general comes following the removal of Asma Hamid from the post of advocate general of Punjab by the government.
