LAHORE: The interim government will ensure the conduction of free and fair elections, said Punjab caretaker chief minister Hasan Askari on Friday.
Askari said that he intends to fulfill all responsibilities given to him.
“All resources will be made use of to make the election peaceful and transparent,” he said.
“We consider this responsibility as the trust of the nation instilled in us and we will fulfill it,” he added.
Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kaleem Imam and Chief Secretary Akbar Durrani called on the interim chief minister at CM house and reiterated their resolve to make sure that the elections are free, transparent and fair.
