ISLAMABAD: A teenager fleeing from police was run over by a car on Thursday.
The teenager, 15-year-old Falak Shair, was wrongly identified by the police’s anti-beggary squad as a beggar and subsequently went after Shair to arrest him.
Shair, who ran from the squard, was hit by a car while he was crossing the road.
He was immediately shifted to a hospital where he was pronounced as dead.
The vehicle’s driver was taken into custody and a case was registered against him.
