FAISALABAD: A private hospital in Faisalabad allegedly involved in illegal kidney transplant was uncovered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) leading to arrests of 11 people, a local media outlet reported on Thursday.
The FIA team raided the hospital on Satiana Road when an illegal kidney transplant operation was being performed.
The doctors, medical staff, the patient and medical equipment were seized by the team.
According to FIA Additional Director Sajid Akram, a violation of Human Organs Transplant Act (HOTA) was the reason behind the raids.
