Indian troops martyr two youngsters in Kashmir


SRINAGAR: The Indian troops martyred two Kashmiri youth in Indian occupied Kashmir’s Bandipore district on Thursday.

The troops killed the youngsters during a continued military operation in Panar area of the district, the Kashmir Media Service reported.  The operation is going on for the past six days.

Earlier, an Indian soldier was killed in an attack in the same area.

An Indian defence spokesman claimed that the youth were militants and were killed in an encounter with the troops.

In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism, martyred 31 Kashmiris including a woman and six young boys during the month of May.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, of those martyred three youth were killed in a fake encounter. The killings rendered three women widowed and five children orphaned.

During the period, 314 people were injured due to the use of brute force including firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells by the Indian army, paramilitary and police personnel on peaceful protesters while 288 persons including Hurriyet activists and students were arrested during house raids and crackdown operations.

The troops also damaged 67 residential houses and disgraced six women during the month.
