Former premier Abbasi’s fined for speeding on motorway


LAHORE: Former prime minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was fined by the Motorway Police for speeding near Ravi Toll Plaza on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway on Monday.

According to reports, Abbasi’s driver was driving the car, while the former PM was present in his car at the time of the challan. He was fined a total sum of Rs750 as a consequence of violating traffic laws.

Meanwhile, the police also clicked a photo with Abbasi.

In 2017, National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ayaz Sadiq was similarly fined when two of his vehicles crossed the allowed speed limit near Khanqah Dogran on M2 motorway. He was fined a sum of Rs2,500.
