LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) disqualified leader Jahangir Tareen’s son Ali Tareen on Sunday announced to not contest in the upcoming general elections.
He announced his decision in a video message via social media.
Ali Tareen said, “Party ticket should be given to the best candidate.”
“The best candidate is the one who works day and night for the party, reaches out to all voters and organises his workers,” he added.
He also said, “Since I have to continue my studies abroad, I can’t do what should be done.”
He requested, “Whichever candidate PTI chooses, vote for him with full fervour.”
