CJP vows not to accept any post after retirement

LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday said that he would not accept any post after his retirement.

Hearing a case pertaining to payments by sugar mills, the CJP said, “I will advise everyone not to offer me any post after my retirement.”

He also said, “What’s wrong if I am going to hospitals for the betterment of masses? No toilet is available in 6,000 schools for girls in Balochistan.”

Justice Nisar added that the constitution and law were supreme and the Supreme Court has the right of judicial review.
