Shehbaz lauds PML-N workers enthusiasm for elections

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President and former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the pro-active participation and the enthusiasm demonstrated by the rank and file of the party supporters, particularly applicants for the elections to the national and provincial assemblies in the forthcoming elections.

Talking to a number of delegations from various districts of the Punjab who met him here in Lahore, he underlined that the Central Parliamentary Board has been functioning in a transparent, democratic and representative manner in which all applicants have been provided an opportunity to present their case for before the parliamentary board.

He also said that the survey teams appointed by the party leadership to analysis constituencies in different districts have also performed their duty with diligence. Shehbaz told the visiting delegations that it was heartening to know that there has been a great amount of enthusiasm among those who applied for the tickets as well as the PML-N workers.

He said that this also shows the confidence of the party and its leadership based on the performance of the PML-N in the last five years, both in the federal government as well as the government in the Punjab province. He also referred to the fact that the delivery of the PML-N has achieved widespread recognition not only in Pakistan and its people but also internationally as well.

In this regard, the PML-N president cited the appreciation of the World Health Organisation (WHO) which stated on June 6, 2018 in its tweet: “well done Punjab,” and the WHO publicly acclaimed the outstanding performance of the Punjab government in strengthening the immunization for improving the health of children, particularly in controlling and curtailing deadly diseases.

Shehbaz Sharif said that they have not only protected the lives of hundreds of thousands of children but they have also promoted the welfare of the general public by providing them access to quality healthcare and good educational facilities, the essential ingredient that were not there in the past. He said that the healthy and polio free development of the children was our passport to a prosperous Pakistan.

He said that the PML-N was going into elections with full confidence that was delivered and performed has won the hearts and minds of the people of Pakistan who can see the difference between empty slogans, false promises and actual performance that can be seen on the ground.

He also thanked the party faithful for standing by their party leadership of PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif despite difficult odds and he told the visiting delegation that together with their support, the PML-N will win the election of July 25 and as already demonstrated by the public opinion polls and he said that all we seek in this connection is a free, fair and transparent elections with a level-playing field.
