A high court on Friday cancelled the bail of Haq Nawaz, one of the people behind the death of social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch.
According to a tweet by Digital Rights Foundation (DRF) founder Nighat Dad, Nawaz was earlier set free by a trial court, however, after Qandeel’s parents challenged it in a high court, the court ordered his arrest and cancelled his bail.

Qandeel – born Fouzia Azeem – was found dead in her house in Multan’s Karimabad area on July 16, 2017. The social media personality was strangled to death by her brother Muhammad Waseem and her cousin Haq Nawaz in the name of honour.
Furthermore, Dad stated in her tweet that, one of the other suspects of Baloch’s murder Mufti Qavi is out on bail and will be appearing in next hearing on June 14.
