Capital police distributes pamphlets regarding security on Eidul Fitr

ISLAMABAD: Capital police distributed pamphlets in the city pertaining to criminal activities during Eidul Fitr asking citizens to cooperate with police.

Prayer leaders were asked to read the pamphlets during sermons.

Police said security preparations had been made in light of the national holiday but in order to make the arrangement foolproof “cooperation is needed to make it effective”.

Police suggested leaving domestic help at the house while residents left the capital during the holidays.

Residents were also asked to not leave valuables and jewellery when they left.

Islamabad’s residents were also told that abandoned newspapers denoted that the residents of a house had temporarily left attracting burglars so “hawkers should be asked not to deliver newspapers until your arrival”.
