PESHAWAR: Parents claimed that they were being denied concessions in the fee being charged by private schools during the summer break and this was against the directives of the Peshawar High Court (PHC).

A parent said, “Instead of specifying months, the schools have added new words like Summer-I and Summer-II to the fee slips asking students to pay the full fee.”

“The words have been coined to deceive the court and regulator,” the parent added.

Earlier, the private schools were given directives pertaining to the matter which said that not more than half of the fee could be charged from the second or third child of the same parents.

Similarly, the PHC had directed private schools not to increase the annual fee more than three percent.
