Three awarded capital punishment for masterminding suicide attack

KARACHI: Three militants were sentenced to death by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) pertaining to a case of suicide bomb attack that claimed the lives of at least four people including Inspector Shafiq Tanoli.

Nadeem Khan, Abid Ali and Noorul Rasheed, the suspects, were affiliated with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to police.

Rashid, Ali and Khan were found guilty by the ATC of masterminding the suicide attack.

The perpetrators were convicted and awarded capital punishment on four counts and the court ordered each of them to pay a compensation of Rs0.1 million to the legal heirs of the victims.
