Invigilator accused of harassment was exonerated of similar charges in 2014


ISLAMABAD: Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Director General (DG) Hasnat Qureshi said that invigilator accused of harassment was also accused by students of another school in 2014.

The FDE had sent a summary to Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) pertaining to the issue and asking the division to suspend the accused teacher.

The FDE DG said, “We came to know that this teacher was also accused by students of the Army Public School in 2014 and an inquiry was conducted after that complaint but he was exonerated of all charges.”

Qureshi added that a two-member inquiry committee had been constituted to probe the matter and it had been directed to submit its reports within seven days.

Social media had blown up with accusations against the invigilator after one of the students had spoken on her social media account.
