Missing persons’ families hold protest in Larkana

LARKANA: Affected people took out a rally here on Wednesday at the end of 72-hour hunger strike staged for the recovery of missing persons.

The participants marched through various roads and terminated at Jinnah Bagh roundabout. The protesters, carrying placards and banners, were chanting slogans against the government silence. They demanded the release of all missing persons and their production before relevant courts. The 72-hour hunger strike came to an end when the strikers were offered juices by the lawyers and civil society members of Larkana.

While addressing the participants Tanveer Areejo, daughter of missing Khadim Areejo, Aziz Shaikh, Safdar Tunio, Asima Abro, Dr. Soomal Khushk, Ali Raza Shahani, Dr. Ihsan Bijarani, Ruk Sindhi, Khurshid Kehar and others, said their beloved family members had been forcibly taken away which was open violation of fundamental rights and the constitution of Pakistan.
