Man opens fire on father, brother after told not to leave house

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A man opened fire on his father and brother after being told not to leave the house. Both are in critical condition and have been shifted to the hospital. However, the accused remains at large and police have failed to apprehend him.

According to a police official, Muhammad Rafique asked his son, Muneeb, not to wander outside the house and scolded him. As a result, Muneeb lost his temper and opened fire at his father with a 30-bore pistol, critically injuring him with two shots.

When Muneeb’s brother, Naveed, heard the shots and saw his father bleeding, he came to help him and was shot at as well. After the incident, the accused fled from the scene with the pistol. Rescue 1122 team arrived at the scene and gave first aid to the injured father and son, before shifting them to the hospital.

The police have registered a case against the accused for intent to murder and have initiated an investigation.
