Unidentified assailants gunned down a man and his son in Dera Bugti area of Balochistan on Wednesday in an attack apparently arising from tribal enmity.

Per details, gunmen opened fire on the two men on Kashmoor Road in Sui, killing them on the spot. The assailants later escaped the area without any resistance. Security forces later identified the victims as Tagya Khan and Mehran Khan.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to a local hospital by the levies and tribal police to undergo medico-legal formalities. Later, the bodies were handed over to the heirs of the deceased.

It is important to mention here that hundreds of lives are lost in Balochistan province due to old enmities.

Dalbandin Assistant Commissioner Habibullah Musakhel had said that around eight people were killed on February 14 in a land dispute in Chagai district. The clash had taken place between Mohammed Hasni tribe and the Afghan tribe of Noorzai when the former attacked the latter, which led to a fierce gunfight, he added.

The clash claimed the lives of six men from the Noorzai tribe and two from the Mohammed Hasni.
