Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter, Maryam Nawaz, on Friday, were unable to address a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers’ convention in Bhera after having to return back owing to some unavoidable circumstances.
Taking to Twitter to apologise for not being able to make it to the gathering, Maryam Nawaz said that she and her father had to return halfway to Bhera “due to some emergency”.

“Mian Sahib [Nawaz] and I apologise to our brothers and sisters of Bhera for we couldn’t make it to the convention. We had to return midway due to some unavoidable circumstances. Our apologies to Pir Hasnat Shah as well,” she stated.
Earlier, strict security measures had been taken ahead of the PML-N workers’ convention.
