ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani has expressed his condolences with the family of Shaheed Col. Sohail Abid and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant fortitude to the grieved family to bear the loss with equanimity.
The Senate chairman, along with a delegation of Senators, visited the residence of Colonel Sohail Abid, who was martyred in an anti-terrorist operation in the province of Balochistan, said a press release here Thursday.
He said that armed forces are valiantly eradicating terrorism and have offered countless sacrifices.
The Chairman Senate expressed solidarity with the bereaved ones.
Other members of the delegation included Senators Muhammad Azam Khan Swati, Faisal Javed, Mian Atiq Sheikh and Mirza Afridi. Senators, accompanying the Chairman, also expressed condolences and sympathized with the bereaved family.
VIDEO AGAINST SIRAJ DURRANI:
The Senate Standing Committee on Interior on Thursday took notice of a video running against Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani.
According to details, the Chairman Standing Committee Rehman Malik took notice of this incident and sought explanation from interior secretary and Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Rehman Malik issued directions and asked both FIA and interior secretary to submit a complete report as soon as possible. He said that FIA should inquire who run this fake video and take action under cybercrime laws.
It was worth mentioning here that a fake video was using to defame Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani.
