PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided not to present the provincial budget for fiscal year 2018-2019, an official said on Wednesday.

According to reports, the lack of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) majority in the provincial assembly was cited as the reason for the decision.

Other sources revealed that PTI had 42 members of provincial assembly (MPAs) and the caretaker government would prepare a four-month budget.

For the fiscal year 2018-2019, provincial governments of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan presented provincial budgets amounting to Rs1.14 trillion, Rs856 million and Rs352.3 billion, respectively.
