MPA Kanwal Nauman has returned to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) one day after announcing to resign from the ruling party due to grievances.
The Punjab Assembly lawmaker withdrew her resignation after redressal of reservations. She said, “The party [PML-N] leadership has addressed my reservations. I was loyal to the party and I still am.”
On Tuesday, she had tendered her resignation to Punjab Chief Minister and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif over inaction on her “genuine issues”.
In her resignation, the actor-turned-politician stated that Shehbaz never had the time to address her complaints.
“My conscience is satisfied. I am disheartened now. You never had any time for me. I joined the party because you are a kind-hearted man, but you heard and resolved issues of entire Pakistan while I was left behind and wasn’t lucky enough to have that honour,” stated the parliamentarian in her letter to Shehbaz Sharif.
