CHINIOT: The absence of three Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentarians-two MNAs and one MPA-from the district, during the visit of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, caused embasement to the chief minister and the ruling party, reported a local English newspaper.
The absence of all MPs from the stage during the speech of Shehbaz Sharif was all more shocking for the PML-N because it had won all the national and provincial assemblies seats in the district during 2013 general elections.
Shehbaz Sharif must have felt very lonely at the start of the rally where chairs of MPs, Mehr Saqlain Anwer Sipra, Maulana Rehmat Ullah, and Mehr Imtiaz Lali besides those of MNAs Qaisar Ahmad Sheikh and Mehr Ghulam Muhammad Lali were vacant.
The PML-N president, however, got some company when provincial assembly members, Maulana Ilyas Chinioti, Mr Sipra and Maulana Rehmat Ullah arrived at the rally after some delay.
