Sindh Rangers arrest eight criminals

KARACHI: The Sindh Rangers on Monday claimed to have nabbed eight criminals in crackdowns in different areas of the metropolis.

According to a Rangers spokesman, the rangers while taking action in Kalakot area of the city, arrested two accused namely Mujeebullah and Arshad. The accused are said to be members of Sajid and Majid group of Lyari Gang War.

In another crackdown in Sharifabad, Aram Bagh, Soldier Bazar and Brigade areas, the rangers busted five alleged street criminals namely Siddiq aka Looni, Mohammed Kashif aka Dildar, Shona Khan, Mohammed Ahtisham and Mohammed Salmanur Rehman. They are said to be involved in various street crimes.

The Rangers also carried out a crackdown in Clifton area of the city and arrested accused Zahid Hussain aka Raja. The accused is said to be involved in drug peddling.

Illegal weapons, ammunition, narcotics and other things have also been recovered from his possession.

All the arrested have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
