Veteran politician Javed Hashmi on Saturday stated that a “false propaganda” was being spread against him on the social media.

He was referring to the pictures making rounds on the social media wherein the politician could be seen getting beaten up.

While addressing a press conference, he said that he is not afraid of being killed and will not step back from his stance.

He alleged that certain Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members were rejoicing at the “fake news” of his torture on the social media. Moreover, an impression that was being given was that whosoever would take a “clear stand” regarding democratic values would meet the same fate.

“Scaring the (PML-N) vote is not acceptable and this pre-poll rigging should not be done,” he said.

Hashmi further stated that PTI leader Imran Khan had accused him of taking money in connection with the Asghar Khan case.

Furthermore, he warned that efforts were underway to bring instability in the country.

He also denied the use of foul language against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
