Headpieces making a statement at the royal wedding

It is all about making a fashion statement at the Royal Wedding. In 2011, we witnessed some extra-ordinary headpieces that were worn by the guests at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.

Seven years down the line, we were super excited to witness what everybody wore at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s fairy-tale wedding.

Not only that, what is a Royal Wedding without some fashionable headpieces and fascinators. Clearly, Brits know a little something about fashionable headwear as well. Thus, here we have shortlisted the people sporting the best headwear from the day.

1 – Meghan Markle

The actress borrowed a diamond and platinum bandeau setting from the Queen’s collection which also has a special connection for Her Majesty—it belonged to Queen Mary, Elizabeth II’s grandmother and was officially bequeathed to the Queen upon Mary’s death. Adding a bit of bling to her simple, yet elegant Givenchy wedding dress, this tiara definitely looked stunning complimenting the fairy-tale wedding.

2 – Amal Clooney

Amal already won our hearts with the yellow Stella McCartney outfit. But what we absolutely loved was the matching headpiece by Stephen Jones.

3 – Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge never goes wrong in making a fashion statement. What really got us was the royal re-wear at the wedding. Kate Middleton was seen sporting her white Alexander McQueen dress a couple of times before as well. For Harry and Meghan’s wedding, Kate paired the coat dress with a Philip Treacy hat and a pair of Jimmy Choo heels.

4 – Oprah Winfrey

The mogul accessorized her Stella McCartney dress with an ivory hat.

5 – Serena Williams

Serena’s pink fascinator perfectly matched her Versace dress and rosy heels.

6 – Karen Spencer

Princess Diana’s sister-in-law, Karen Spencer was dressed in a capelet and form-fitting knee-length dress, paired with a royal purple fascinator that stood out.

7 – Jacinda Barrett

Australian actress Jacinda Barrett wore a maroon dress with a matching headpiece with a small veil.
