Fresh operation against miscreant network starts

(Disclaimer: this is a work of fiction. Learn to take a joke; you’ll live longer.)

A fresh offensive against a miscreant network was launched on Wednesday, as Pakistani forces targeted an operation towards the Dawn network. after the successful neutralisation of the infamous Geo network last month.

According to details, the operation has strategically targeted the most influential of miscreant networks  that had been working on the print and internet front against the national interest. Earlier, a similar operation had been responsible for clearing approximately 80 percent of the nation’s populace from the influence of a major miscreant network in the shape of Geo.

“We are pleased to report that a fresh operation has been launched to free the country from the influence of this dangerous network,” said Saleem Hassan, a spokesperson of the ministry of defence, addressing a press conference in Islamabad.

“We are hoping to stamp out the Dawn network with the same efficiency and precision as we stamped out Geo.”

“At this point we would like to say that at this time we need the cooperation of our civilian population.”

“And by civilian population, I mean the hawkers, and by cooperation, I mean they complied when we explained to them what we would do to them if they didn’t,” he clarified.

Meanwhile, the country still remains heavily under the influence of the said network through the internet and social media, which Hassan said his department was working hard to fix.

“Let us show some patience, support our forces to eliminate this menace once and for all,” he said.

The press conference ended after banned organisation Jaish-e-Jamaatia insisted on using the press hall for its own purposes and that the ministry folks had ten minutes to vacate it.
