ISLAMABAD: Just two weeks before the end of the five-year term, the outgoing government has appointed Amjad Javed Saleemi, an officer of Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) as the new National Highway Authority and Motorway Police (NHA&MP) inspector general (IG) whereas Dr Kaleem Imam has been asked to report to Establishment Division.
Notification available with Pakistan Today states that Saleemi, a BPS-21 officer of PSP presently serving under the government of Punjab, is promoted to BS-22 in that service with immediate effect.
On promotion, the officer is transferred and posted as NHA&MP IG under the Ministry of Communication until further orders.
On the other hand, the government has asked the incumbent NHA&MP IG Dr Kaleem to report to the Establishment Division.
In another notification, Yousaf Naseem Khaokhar, a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) presently posted as Power Division secretary, is granted fourteen days leave from May 18 to May 31.
