KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Thursday took to his Twitter account and stated that his party will continue to protest against the unfair water supply in Sindh.
He stated that the Indus River System Authority’s (IRSA) injustice towards provinces by unfairly distributing water is unbearable. He further stated that the federal government’s callous attitude will also not be tolerated by the party.
#PPP will continue to protest against #IRSA’s discrimination & Federal Government’s callous attitude.Water shortage needs to be shared equally. Divisive policies must end.We argue with India for downstream water rights but then deprive our provinces of the same! #PaniAurBijliDoh pic.twitter.com/A8ZxMTnu3y

In his tweet, he also stated that as a nation we are in a constant war with India for the water issues, but deprive our provinces of the same.
Earlier, senior PPP leader and Senator Sasui Palijo said that she is extremely unhappy about this discrimination and this issue would be taken up on the floor of the upper house.
She also added that she had moved an adjournment motion and PPP intend to go for a debate on it during the next session of the upper house to strongly plead Sindh’s case.
Rejecting the Ithe RSA’s claim that Sindh had only faced a 34 per cent shortage of water during the Kharif season, Senator Palijo said that the low-lying districts of the province like Thatta, Badin, Sujawal and other certain parts of districts were the witness of no water even for drinking purpose.
