O’Brien thanks Pakistan for Ireland tour, says ‘see you in Lahore for rematch’

Irish batsman Niall John O’Brien thanked Pakistan cricket team for the tour to Ireland as he wrote: “Thank you for coming and being part of our Historic rise. Top bunch of lads and a really enjoyable match.”

The Irish handed batsman also hinted a tour to Pakistan by Ireland in near future stating: “See you in Lahore for the Rematch”.

Pakistan defeated Ireland in the only-Test match with five wickets after a rather nervous last day innings. Chasing the 160 target, Pakistan was 14-3 at one point but Imam-ul-Haq and Babr Azam played responsible innings and won the match for the green shirts.

The fans have shown excitement over O’Brien’s statement about visiting Pakistan and expressed their happiness on social media as many send welcome messages to the Irish player.
