ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari have fully empowered Khurshid Shah in connection to the appointment of caretaker Prime Minister (PM), media reports said on Wednesday.
According to reports, the PPP co-chairman had called on Khurshid Shah regarding the issue of appointment of caretaker PM and an important consultation was made with party senior leadership on this count.
After consultation, Zardari and Bilawal gave full authority to Khurshid Shah to appoint caretaker PM.
The party leadership has said that they will accept any name finalised by Khurshid Shah and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for caretaker PM.
Syed Khurshid Shah, while expressing gratitude to the party leadership for reposing trust on him, said the name of caretaker PM will be finalised in the meeting with PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi within a day or two.
