HARIPUR: Police on Monday arrested a man along with two of his relatives for allegedly killing his wife and three daughters over a property dispute.
According to the publication, the suspect, Shafaqat Zaman, will be produced before Khanpur’s judicial magistrate on Tuesday for further investigation.
District police officer Syed Khalid Hamadani told reporters that the suspect’s wife, Sadaf Shafaqat, 35, and daughters, including Eman Shehzadi, 9, Zainab Bibi, 5, and Zarqa Shehzadi, 7, were found dead in their bedrooms in Qutba village on May 6 morning.
According to details, the suspect killed his wife and daughters as a revenge for denying his repeated requests to formally transfer her house and agricultural land to him.
The DPO said the four were killed by poisoning before their neck, hands and legs were fastened with ropes to mislead investigators.
