An official at Pahariupra police station told the publication that the suspect named Saqib assaulted a seven-year-old boy on Sunday. An FIR was registered against the accused under section 377 of PPC on the complaint of the boy’s mother.
He said the child was referred to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment.
He also said that the police arrested the suspect on Monday and currently they were arranging his identity parade before the victim and his family.
