PM, ministers should be barred from meeting Nawaz Sharif: Durrani

–Ex-minister says Shehbaz Sharif, CEC should revoke Nawaz’s PML-N supremo status and abolish his party membership

ISLAMABAD: Cabinet Committee on Defence and National Security should bar Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, ministers and all government functionaries to meet or have any contact with ousted PM Nawaz Sharif while legal proceedings should be initiated against him under the official secret act, demanded former federal minister Muhammad Ali Durrani on Sunday.

“Time has come that Shehbaz Sharif as President and Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) should stand up against Nawaz Sharif to manifest patriotism by distancing them from his anti-Pakistan concocted statement involving the country in Mumbai attacks falsely,” he said while talking to media.

Durrani urged Shehbaz Sharif and Central Executive Committee (CEC) of PML-N to revoke Nawaz Sharif’s title and status as Patron (Quaid) for life and abolish his basic party membership forthwith. He said by blaming Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif has actually presented himself to the enemies as an offer to become an approver against Pakistan to malign country through sheer lies.

“It is disheartening, condemnable and regrettable that a person who was crowned thrice as Premier has accused the motherland. It has become evident that Nawaz Sharif was bent upon launching a campaign against the interests of the country by using Indian Money and Cannons,” he alleged.

Durrani said Indian forces in occupied Kashmir were injuring eyes, faces and bodies of innocent civilians by using of pellet guns. Nawaz Sharif, on the contrary, is shattering hearts, minds and souls of Kashmiris by giving such statements, he added.
