LAHORE: On this day in 2017, Pakistan won the historic Test match against West Indies, which was also the farewell match for two iconic players, Misbahul Haq and Younis Khan.
Pakistan defeated Windies after a thriller at Roseau to register Pakistan’s first Test series win in the Caribbean.
Recalling the memory, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tweeted: “#OnThisDay in 2017, Pakistan defeated Windies after a thriller at Roseau to register Pakistan’s first Test series win in the Caribbean. This was also the last international appearance of batting greats @captainmisbahpk and @iam_Younis”

The national team won the match on the last ball of second-last over of the match and it was most probably the last chance for Pakistan to win the match as RL Chase on other side was playing on 101, and he most probably would have drawn the match.
Yasir Shah bowled the ball outside off-stump, the tail-ender Gabriel went after it and tried to hit it hard for a boundary but it took an inside edge and bowled him.
It was a memorable match for Pakistan and the team made it more memorable by winning it in style.
