ISLAMABAD: If customers want to board a flight from the Islamabad International Airport they must reach at least five hours prior to their boarding time,  according to the Twitter handle of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

PIA tweeted, “Valued PIA customers, in light of the traffic congestion due to strict security checks at entry points of the new Islamabad International Airport, you are kindly requested to report at least 5 hours prior to departure time for your international flights.”

In a special announcement via its Twitter account, the PIA asked customers to reach the airport at least five hours before the departure time of their flights due to “traffic congestion because of security checks”.

The tweet ends with the following statement, “Your convenience is our foremost priority.”

Reacting to PIA’s announcement, Barrister Hamza said in a tweet, “My mother came from Manchester yesterday morning and when she asked for pillows, she was given used blankets by the PIA staff.”

While replying to PIA’s tweet, a customer said, “We were asked to do the same for Karachi airport. Can u pls explain why would anyone take pia seriously. The funniest thing is that when we arrived four hours earlier, the counters hadn’t even opened and we were told by staff at pia shouldn’t have asked u to come early.”
