LAHORE: The Punjab government on Thursday announced that private and public schools of the province would close for summer vacations from May 17.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood announced the vacations while speaking to media representatives here and added that the institutions would reopen on August 10.
The minister also said that the vacations had been announced early in view of the holy month of Ramzan that too is likely to begin from May 17.
Meanwhile, the Sindh government has already announced that summer vacations in the province would commence from May 14 and last till July 17.
