KARACHI: The trailer of Mahira Khan and Sheheryar Munawar’s much-awaited film 7 Din Mohabbat In has finally dropped, after much hype and we have to say it does look very different from all the other Pakistani movies which have been released.
The movie touted to be the “Romantic Comedy of 2018” opens with Javed Sheikh shown as a djinn from New Delhi sitting in his cave. Sheikh promises Tipu, essayed by Sheheryar Munawar, dressed at his nerd best, that if he gets a girl to fall truly in love with him, he will make him go from “zero to hero.” And that ladies and gentlemen is the plot of the movie.
Mahira Khan makes a glamourous entry as Neeli in the trailer. However, her chemistry with Munawar is weak and the two were probably better off as friends like in Ho Mann Jahaan.
Amna Ilyas and Mira Sethi are also part of the film and are likely to essay the role of Tipu’s love interests in the movie.
The trailer of the film ends with Javed Sheikh saying, “Sacha pyaar jaisi koi cheez nai hoti” indicating that this is indeed a rom-com complete with two people in love and a villain who wants to keep them apart.
7 Din Mohabbat In has been directed by Meenu Gaur and Farjad Nabi of Zinda Bhaag fame and is scheduled to hit cinemas this Eid-ul-Fitr.
