‘Zardari, his father were supporters of ‘aliens’ in past’

Pakistan Muslim League-N Provincial President Shah Muhammad Shah has said that Pakistan People’s Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari himself and his late father Hakim Ali Zardari were also accompanied the ‘aliens’ in the past.

Addressing a news conference here on Sunday, he criticised the statement of the PPP co-chairman and said that the people have still not forgotten their silence when Nawabshah was bleeding during the MRD Movement.

To a question about the statement of Asif Zardari regarding the possibility of an alliance with PTI Chairman Imran Khan, he said that both have already entered into the alliance. Shah maintained that the PML-N was striving for respect of vote and it would continue its struggle despite conspiracies.

He said that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will start his visit to Sindh after participating in the workers convention being held at his native village Bhanote on May 8. The PML-N president will later visit various cities of the province including Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Jacobabad and Obaro, he added.

Addressing a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club, PPP Women Wing President MNA Shagufta Jummani refuted the allegations that Asif Zardari and his late father were the supporters of dictatorial regime of General Ziaul Haq. She said that both Asif Zardari and his late father had never ever supported the dictatorial regime.

She said that the PML-N Sindh president was losing his memory due to age factor. She said that Asif Zardari was put behind the bar on false charges and tortured during the government of former prime minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.

The lawmaker criticised the language, used by the MQM leaders, during a public meeting in Karachi and said that positive response of the citizens of Karachi to Bilawal Bhutto had made the opponents confused. She said that PPP always served the masses without any discrimination.
