HDYERABAD: Sindh police claimed on Sunday to have arrested two suspects involved in the murder of Chinese national in a posh area of Karachi.
According to police sources, the suspects, Rahan and Saqib, were arrested from Hyderabad.
The initial probe revealed that Chinese national, Chen Zhu, was killed on February 4 over a business dispute. The murder was planned by a disgruntled shareholder who was dismissed under charges of corruption, the police said.
Zhu was working in a non-China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) related private shipping company in Karachi. He and another Chinese national, Ye Fan, left the office for lunch at a restaurant in Clifton, after they went to Neelam Colony opposite Zamzama Park for grocery shopping, when the assailants opened fire on them killing Chen Zhu.
While Fan remained unhurt in the incident, a pedestrian was injured.
