MURREE: The Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) Punjab branch organised two days of a first aid training camp for journalists at the Murree Training Centre on Sunday.

During training, participants were briefed on how to tackle different emergency situations related to first aid like heart attack, shock, bleeding, angina pain, CPR etc. They were given practical demonstrations and simulation exercises were also performed.

Punjab PRC Secretary Dr Shaukat Ali, while addressing the participants said that their motto was ‘First to reach and last to leave’. He reminded journalists how important first aid training was, as they too are the first ones to reach emergency situations.

Dr Shaukat said that first aid training will help them in helping the injured during covering a dangerous event.

He further said that PRC is working without any religious, cultural and political discrimination. At the end of the training, he distributed certificates among the participants.

Journalists appreciated the efforts of  Provincial Manager Media and Communication, Ali Raza Mukhtar, for successfully conducting the training.
