TANK: Mobile services are going to be restored in Wana, South Waziristan, administrative officials said on Saturday.
The decision has been taken after a meeting with several government institutions, according to officials.
According to details, “Within the next 10 to 12 days, cellular services will be restored in the area.”
People living in Wana have time and again complained that they cannot contact their loved ones because mobile networks are barred in the area.
Mobile phone services were suspended in South Waziristan 10 years ago amid security concerns.
As part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, security forces conducted a raid after being tipped-off by an informant on Friday and recovered rockets, rifles, anti-tank mines and pistols, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
