Buckingham Palace has gone into crisis mode. The May 13 lifetime movie about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, titled Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance, contains a sex scene and the palace is “seriously worried”, reported The Cut.
The Queen’s press office had a private screening of the movie’s trailers and are reportedly worried about one scene in particular: Prince Harry and the princess-to-be are shown to be in bed together and about to kiss, according to Vanity Fair.
Menhaj Huda, the film’s director said, “What I’ve heard is that they’re seriously worried about the sex scene.” He claimed that he got this information from his wife’s best friend, who is dating the palace’s press secretary.
The romantic biopic also includes other scenes pertaining to Prince Harry’s proposal, the couple’s first blind date and events with key members of the royal household.
Refreshingly, the film has a feminist tilt and portrays Meghan Markle as a confident and strong individual, who can stick to her beliefs while being an active participant in the ‘royal’ environment at the same time.
The film’s script was written within two weeks and shows several milestones in Harry and Markle’s relationship. The film depicts scenes of the couple’s secret dates in Toronto and the prince defending his girlfriend’s right to continue running her lifestyle blog. Another scene to look out for is the confrontation between Princess Michael of Kent and Prince Harry about a ‘racist’ brooch that the princess wore with Markle in attendance.
Parisa Fitz-Henley is playing Meghan Markle in the film and Murray Fraser will be on-screen as Prince Harry.
